Pope Francis calls to build bridges between peoples

The newly elected Pope Francis has called for building bridges between peoples and strengthening peace, meeting with ambassadors from the countries that have diplomatic relations with the Holy See Friday.

The pontiff has also called for interreligious dialogue, especially with Islam and for reaching atheists.

The Pope said the world’s priority is to support the needy and fight against poverty.
