Bad weather paralyzes greater part of UK
Աշխարհ
The greater part of the UK has been paralyzed by bad weather. Downpours have caused floods in the south of the country, while half-a-metre high snowdrifts have been piled up in the north.
Two people have thus far died of an abnormally cold spring.
Several airports have been shut down.
Classes at schools have been cancelled. Meanwhile in Ulster, March 22nd proved the coldest day in the past 30 years.
Gale-force wind and heavy snowfall in Belfast caused a qualifying football match between Russia and Northern Ireland to be pushed back until a later date.
If the weather changes for the better, the game may take place today.
