Snowfall prolongs weekend in Ukraine

The Ukrainian government has made Monday, the 25th of March a day off due to the snowfall that has been continuing since Friday and has actually paralysed the public transport in the region.

Earlier an emergency was announced in the capital of Ukraine Kiev.

Forty-five out of 90 international flights from the Borispol Airport have been cancelled or delayed.

The authorities have sent army soldiers and the staff of the Interior Ministry, as well as military vehicles to clear the streets and roads.
