Russia set to reclaim Berezovsky’s foreign assets

The Russian Prosecutor General’s Office appears to be set to reclaim foreign assets of the disgraced Russian tycoon, Boris Berezovsky, who passed away aged 67 in his London mansion on Saturday, RIA reports.
Russian media cited the country’s deputy prosecutor general, Alexander Zvyagintsev, as saying Monday that Berezovsky had been accused of several major economic crimes he committed as part of an international criminal ring.
Mr. Zvyagintsev said the Russian criminal code punished such felonies with confiscation, adding that his office would continue pushing for the return of all foreign assets that had been stolen by the self-exiled tycoon and his accomplices to be then laundered abroad.
