Rostropovich festival to open in Moscow

Orchestras from Italy, Denmark, Germany and the UK will perform at the Mstislav Rostropovich Musical Festival in Moscow.
This year the festival is dedicated to the outstanding Russian musician’s wife, famous opera singer Galina Vishnevskaya.
The festival opens on the 27th of March, Rostropovich’s birthday.
Italian singers will perform Verdi’s Requiem on the stage of the Grand Hall of the Moscow Conservatory. The Danish National Symphony Orchestra, the Bavarian Radio Symphony Orchestra and the London Royal Philharmonic Orchestra will also take part in the festival.
The festival is three years old now.
