Investigation of buffalo case in expanding

In the scope of the investigation done in connection with the case of the supply of buffalo meat in the RA Armed forces filed in the Investigative Service of RA Ministry of Defense, the food service chief of N unit (ranked lieutenant colonel) was arrested on the grounds of Article 376 section 2 of RA Criminal Code (negligent attitude towards the service, which caused grave consequences).

Prior to that, on 29.08.2012, the director of “A.Aghajanyan” LLC was detained then arrested on the ground of part 2 of Article 178 of RA Criminal Code (large-scale fraud).

Back in 21.02.2013 and 22.02.2013, the commander of N unit (ranked lieutenant colonel) and his deputy logistics officer (ranked Major) were detained and then arrested. At the same time, in the same case, the signature of not leaving the country was used as a precautionary measure against the head of the storage who as well is charged with the same case.

We assure you that the military prosecutor's office, the Investigative Service of the Ministry of Defense in conjunction with other relevant departments, , as well as with the support of the public will continue the crime prevention, crime detention and the equivalent of the criminal liability for the crimes.
