More than 30 people kidnapped in Sudan

Unidentified armed men have abducted over 30 people in western Sudan. This was announced by the governor of central Darfur Yousif Tabn.
"Representatives of refugees from Darfur - eight women and 23 men - were abducted on the way out of Zalingei into Nyala, as they traveled by bus to attend a conference, accompanied by UNAMID peacekeepers," said Tabn.
According to him, they were taken to an unknown destination. According to the Governor, the rebels thus seek to disrupt the government-held conference in support of Darfur’s reconstruction effort, and a return of refugees to their homes.
Since 2003, hundreds of thousands of people were displaced in Darfur due to fighting between the government army and numerous rebel movements demanding the current regime step down.
