US ready to respond North Korea’s possible attack on South

The US is ready “to take measures of response against North Korea if an emergency situation takes place,” a spokesman for the US Department of Defense George Little says.

On Tuesday, North Korea came out with a sharp statement against the US, which is now holding military maneuvers together with South Korea in the waters near the Korean Peninsula.

At present, missile and artillery forces in North Korea are at full alert. North Korean missiles are directed at US military bases in South Korea, on the Guam Island and on the continental territory of the US.

Relations between South and North Koreas aggravated after North Korea launched a space satellite in December 2012 and held nuclear tests in February 2013.
