Russian president dismissed Naryshkin as presidential administration head.

Russian President Dmitry Medvedev dismissed Sergei Naryshkin from the presidential administration head's post, a presidential decree posted on the portal of the state legal information system says.

Naryshkin was dismissed due to his election to the State Duma of the sixth convocation, RIA Novosti reported.

The decree was signed on Dec. 20 and will enter into force upon signature.
