Argamich's presidential "parade"

Yesterday, on the International Day of Theatre NA Speaker Hovik Abrahamyan decided to open up and play at least before the representatives of theatre the role, of which he had dreamed of- to present exactly as the President.

Hovik Abrahamyan tried not only in appearance but also on the content of the ceremony not to give up RA President. Within this logic Hovik Abrahamyan's visit to Sos Sargsyan should be seen. President Serzh Sargsyan also has a habit of constantly visiting our great artists, emphasizing the special relationship to the honored artists. To keep up with Sargsyan, Hovik Abrahamyan also decorated his visit. Sos Sargsyan received the Medal of Honor from Hovik Abrahamyan.

In his congratulatory speech in connection with the awarding of the International Theatre Day Hovik Abrahamyan stressed that artists, particularly theater actors, in the years of independence were always close to the people, then awarded medals of Honor. A similar number of medals is also clear evidence of a direct imitation of the presidential ceremony.

"On March 27 on the occasion of the World Theatre Day for significant contribution in the sphere of culture the RA National Assembly President Hovik Abrahamyan awarded with the NA Medals of Honour more than a dozen of figures of the sphere – Varduhi Varderesyan, Yervand Ghazanchyan, Leyli Khachatryan, Margo Muradyan, Evelina Shahiryan, Alexander Grigoryan, Kamo Hovhannisyan, Silva Yuzbashyan, Barsegh Tumanyan, Geghanush Sayadyan. About fifty performing arts figures were awarded NA President’s diplomas and letters of acknowledgement."
