Treasures of the Himalayas arrive in Moscow

The travelling exhibition Treasures of the Himalayas opens in Moscow today for the first time.
The exhibition introduces traditions of Buddhist art and its ways of development in the West.
Over 300 pieces of art created in India, Nepal, Tibet, Mongolia and Buryatia are on display. Among the exhibits are rare statues, thankas, stupas and photographs.
The exhibition programme will include lectures, master classes, film showings and ethnic music concerts.
The first display of Treasures of the Himalayas was in St. Petersburg in 2003.
