Ex-head of department of the Russian Defence Ministry Vasilyeva accused of embezzlement

The ex-head of department of the Russian Defence Ministry Evgenia Vasilyeva involved in the case of Oboronservice has been charged with embezzling over 190mln roubles’ worth of the stock of the State Project Institute of Special-Purpose Construction, the investigation committee reports.

It has been established that the complex of buildings in the central part of Moscow which housed the institute was sold 300mln roubles cheaper than its market price.

Over the last few months criminal schemes worth billions of roubles have been revealed in the Russian Defence Ministry and criminal proceedings have been initiated.
