Nine people were hospitalized after a Nissan minibus ran into a ZIL garbage truck in Yerevan's Tbilisyan Avenue on Wednesday morning, reported photojournalist Gagik Shamshyan.
Before rescuers reached the scene, passengers of the minibus Gohar Dilanyan (b.in 1955), Janik Karapetyan (b. in 1986), Hayk Avetisyan (b.in 1976), Vasak Purtoyan (b. in 1942), Andrei Khachatryan (b. in 1980), Khachatur Margaryan (b. in 1986) and Vazgen Mkhitaryan, 28, had been rushed to hospital.
Two more people, the driver of the minibus Hrachya Aydinyan (b. in 1956) and passenger Ashot Harutyunyan (b. in 1975) were removed from the vehicle by rescuers and taken to St. Grigor Lusavoritch hospital.
Their condition is of average severity.
