American Express and Bank of America cyber attacked

"American Express" and "Bank of America" have been the latest targets in the intensifying campaign of cyber attacks, CNN reported.

The assault on servers of these U.S. financial institutions took them offline for several hours, disabling financial transactions and operations.

At present all internet operations of American Express and Bank of America have been restored.

Responsibility for the attack has been claimed by a group calling themselves "Izz ad-Din al-Qassam Cyber Fighters".
