The cause of the fire in National Assembly basement is revealed

The cause of the paper and wood burnt in the basement of the National Assembly on March 27 is revealed. As the Ministry of Emergency Situations informs, today, around 19.40, the officer of National Assembly (worker), 59-years-old Ashot Ghazanchyan, who was responsible for that territory, went to basement, checked whether everything was fine or not, turned off the lights, then threw the remain of the cigarette on the ground of the basement, closed the door and left, Factinfo reports.
The cigarette appeared on the papers and burnt. As a result of that smoky area was formed. No material damage was caused.
It should be remembered that on March 27, at around 20.51, the Ministry of Emergency Situations received an alarm according to which smoke was coming out of the basement of National Assembly. 3 firefighting, emergency response groups were on the scene at 20.52. The fire was extinguished at 21.05.
