Sharapova has good chances for new record

The US media estimates the chances of Russian tennis player Maria Sharapova to win the tournament of the Women’s Tennis Association, which will take place in Miami on Sunday, to be much higher than those of her US rival Serena Williams.

On March 17, Sharapova won the Women’s Tennis Association’s tournament in Indian Wells.

If Ms. Sharapova wins the coming match in Miami, she will become the third woman in history who has won two prestigious US tournaments in succession. The two previous such women were German Steffi Graf and Belgian Kim Clijsters.
