Armenian PM visits Yerevan thermal and electric power plant.

Armenia’s PM Tigran Sargsyan visited Thursday capital Yerevan’s thermal and electric power plant.

The plant’s total capacity is 271.7 megawatts, and owing to its efficiency, the electricity fees did not increase in Armenia, even though the natural gas prices had gone up.     

It is fully automated and has 51 employees.

The plant was built through the means provided by the loan agreement signed between the Government of Armenia and the Japan Bank for International Cooperation, Government Press Service informed.
