Soso Pavliashvili’s lawyer refutes news about murder charges against the Georgian singer

Soso Pavliashvili has no relation to the murder of businessman Avtandil Asuashvili in Tbilisi in November 2012, the lawyer of the singer and his brother-in-law Vakhtang Chkhepelia told the reporters today.

According to Russian ITAR-TASS news agency, the lawyer Levan Javakhadze said the singer is not charged with and there is no fact proving his relation to the murder.

He stressed that the prosecutor’s office is investigating the case and that the murdered businessman was Pavliashvili’s friend.

Six people, among them the singer’s brother-in-law has been arrested in connection with the case. Yesterday Georgia’s prosecutor’s office representative said in an interview to Tbilisi TV channel that the name of the businessman is being circulated in the case and there is a testimony against him.
