Cristiano Ronaldo, the joint top goalscorer in this season's Champions League, on eight goals – together with Galatasaray's Burak Yilmaz – goes into Wednesday's clash with the Turks with his shooting boots firmly in tow.

The Portuguese forward didn't hold back at the Romareda. Although the quarter final first leg against Galatasaray is right around the corner and the club is pinning its hopes on Champions League success, Cristiano doesn't do taking his foot off the pedal. He was on the scoresheet once again while the rest of his team struggled to hit the target.

CR7 now boasts 21 goals in 2013, including 14 in the league. It has been a staggering start of the year for the former Manchester United man, who is approaching the business end of the season – and in particular, the latter stages of the Champions League – in flying form. His season total now stands at 44: 28 in the league, six in the cup, eight in the Champions League and two in the Spanish Cup.
