Lavrov to negotiate with Angolan foreign minister

Angolan Foreign Minister Georges Rebelo Chikoti will make a working visit to Russia this week. The agenda of the visit is key problems of the African continent, settlement of crises and crisis situations, peacekeeping and sustainable socioeconomic development of African states.
"Angolan Foreign Minister Georges Rebelo Chikoti will pay a working visit to Russia on April 2-4. Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov will negotiate with him on April 3," reports the Russian Foreign Ministry.
"Key problems of the African continent, among them settlement of crises and crisis situations, peacekeeping and sustainable socioeconomic development of African states, will have an important place on the agenda of the upcoming negotiations," the report says.
The ministers will also discuss trends in the Middle East, North Africa and the Sahara-Sahel zone.
The Russian Foreign Ministry declared an increase in Russian-Angolan projects, cooperation in high technologies and other new areas, and proximity of the foreign policies of the two countries, which Moscow views as "a good foundation for deepening the political dialogue and broadening Russian-Angolan interaction in the UN and on other international floors, Interfax reports.
