4 killed 2 kidnapped at Akkas field in Iraq

On Monday Islamists attacked the Akkas Gas Field in western Iraq, killing four workers and abducting two others.
The victims were employees of the South Korean company Korea Gas, which is developing gas reserves in the region.
The Akkas Gas Field is located far in the desert in Iraq's Anbar province. Its reserves are estimated at over 113 billion cubic meters of gas but production at the field has not yet commenced, RIA reports.
Authorities in Iraqi which is the tenth largest in the world, in terms of proven natural gas reserves, have stated that the fuel that the fuel which will be produced in Akkas is only intended for domestic consumption.
