The crime is the result of impunity and intolerance. ARF-D statement.

The Supreme Body of the Armenian Revolutionary Federation Dashnaktsutyun (ARF-D) issued a statement, which, in particular, says:

"Today, on April 2 in the morning, Proshyan village head Hrach Muradian became a victime of terrorism. The crime is the result of impunity and intolerance."

Hrach Muradyan was a loyal member of the ARF-D, who passed a glorious way of the Nagorno-Karabakh war of liberation and was awarded numerous medals. Since 2005, he had been re-elected head of the Proshyan village community three times and shown himself an exemplary manager.

Due to his personality, Hrach Muradyan enjoyed the villagers’ respect, which caused some people’s discontent. He received numerous threats, which resulted in his tragic death, says the statement.

Regrettably, personal safety is not guaranteed in Armenia, and criminal way of action is integral part of everyday life in the country. The bullet that killed Hrach Muradyan’s was not only aimed at him, but also at Armenian statehood, says the statement.

The ARF-D demands the soonest disclosure of the murder crime and severest punishment for the masterminds and perpetrators.
