Rock was successfully detonated nearby Armenia’s regional road.

Armenia’s Ministry of Emergency Situations (MES) successfully detonated a rock, close to 35th-km section of M6 Vanadzor-Alaverdi-Georgian Border Highway, which had posed a danger to traveling vehicles and nearby residents.
MES Rescue Service Director Sergei Azaryan noted that there was a real danger, since the rock weighed nearly 2,500 tons, and it was 1,000-1,2000 m3 in size.
At present, studies are conducted around the detonated rock. Subsequently, road cleaning will get underway, and this section of the Highway could be reopened for traffic on Sunday.
