Almost a third of Americans believe in UFOs

According to a survey conducted by Public Policy Polling, 29% of Americans believe that the government is concealing proof of the existence of aliens. 28% think that the world is ruled by a secret government.

Company experts examined 20 of the most popular U.S. conspiracy theories and myths to find out which ones are the most common.

Thus, it was found that more than half of Americans believe the assassination of President J. F. Kennedy was the result of a government conspiracy.

Despite reports of Osama bin Laden having been wiped out, 6 % of Americans believe that he is still alive.

And, perhaps, most surprisingly, 15% believe that the government controls people's minds through television, and the one way to escape this is by donning a "tin foil hat."
