Transport stopped and people nearby evacuated as a Soviet era bomb was found at an old freight depot in Germany this past Tuesday. Upon discovering this 200 plus pound Russian explosive from WWII near the main train station in Berlin, specialists decided to immediately defuse it on location, Ap reports.
Extra precautions were taken too, as people left their homes, and trains and flights were delayed. No one was injured during the deactivation process. Even though this is one less potential threat to worry about, thosands of bombs are still thought to be hidden in the ground throughout Germany.
