Quake hits off Philippines shore

A 5.3-magnitude earthquake struck offshore in northeastern Philippines on Thursday, CNN reported, citing the United States Geological Survey.
There were no immediate reports of casualties or damages.
The quake struck about 100 miles northeast of Manila and had a depth of 23 miles, the USGS said.
