Russia concerned over EU fish scandal
Russia
The Russian Consumer Rights Protection Service has contacted the European Commission for more details regarding the fish sales in EU countries, RIA reports.
The horsemeat scandal that broke out in Europe two months ago has thus been followed by a fish row after experts found that between one fourth and one third of fish products in Europe contained cheaper fish compared to what was labeled on the package.
Russia has expressed concern in connection with the recent fish fraud urging the EU to increase the effectiveness of food control measures.
