UN ready to extend aid to flood-hit Argentina

The United Nations is ready to extend every kind of humanitarian assistance or international support to Argentina in connection with devastating floods that claimed 51 lives, UN spokesperson Martin Nesirky said.

The flooding was caused by heavy rain that walloped the city of La Plata on Wednesday.
