Japan, Russia to cement ties

Japan favors an all-round cooperation with Russia, TASS reported.

A statement to this effect which was published in the Blue Book on Foreign Policy on Friday underscores the importance of promoting bilateral ties in a large number of areas, including energy, medicine, innovation and agriculture, and developing bilateral cooperation for international security.

A visit to Russia by Japanese Prime Minister Shinzo Abe slated for April 28th will become the first by a Japanese high-ranking official over the past 19 years.
