US prepares to deploy missile defence system on Guam
Azerbaijan
The US has completed preparations for deploying a missile-defence system on the island of Guam with the aim of tracing and shooting down North Korean missiles, General Dana Pittard, commander of the Fort Bliss military base, declared.
The US is planning to use an army mobile complex for intercepting medium-range missiles outside the atmosphere. This complex is to be deployed on Guam in the next few weeks, Interfax reports.
Earlier Pyongyang threatened to deliver several blows against US bases in that region. The US military intelligence discovered that North Korea was swinging Musudan missiles and parts of the launching site to the country’s eastern coast.
