Russian play staged in Manhattan

The first night of the Russian play My Poor Marats taged by the Voyage Theater Company took place at the Canal Park Playhouse in Manhattan on Friday. The play was written by Soviet playwright Alexey Arbuzov. The main part was performed by Russian actor Igor Semionov.
Americans gave the play a warm reception. It is a story about three teenagers who lived in Leningrad besieged by Nazis in February 1942.
All in all, the Voyage Theater Company is to give 24 performances of the play, 6 of them in Russian and 18 in English.
