Tolstoy’s home made federal heritage site

Prime Minister Dmitry Medvedev has signed executive orders to make the family estate of the 19th-century Russian novelist Leo Tolstoy, in Yasnaya Polyana near Tula south of Moscow, a federal heritage site, Voice of Russia reports.
Tolstoy was born and is buried there. He wrote his most famous novels, War and Peace and Anna Karenina, while staying at Yasnaya Polyana.
