Election campaign kicks off today

On April 7 marks Motherhood and Beauty Day. On that day the election campaign of May 5 will kick off.

Nominated parties are 7 -"Mission", "Prosperous Armenia", "Armenian National Congress", "Armenian Revolutionary Federation", "Republiclican Party of Armenia", "Rule of Law" parties and "Hello Yerevan" party alliance.

Republican Party of Armenia will participate in municipal elections with 195 members in the list, which is headed by the incumbent Mayor Taron Margaryan.

"Prosperous Armenia" party list is less than RPA, the list of 194 members is headed by party MP and former Foreign Minister Vardan Oskanyan.

ARF list consist of 65 members, which is headed by the parliamentary faction leader Armen Rustamyan.

"Hello, Yerevan" party's list consist of 64 members, and the Vice-Chairman "Heritage" party Armen Martirosyan will head it.

"ANC" list consists of 42 members. It is headed by Vahagn Khachatryan.

"Rule of Law" party presented a list of 105 candidates. The list of "Rule of Law" is headed by Emergency Minister Armen Yeritsyan.

With a list of 29 names, "Mission" party will aslo participate in the upcoming elections. Mayoral candidate from "Mission"- Mesrop Arakelyan.

Republican Party promises "Even better Yerevan", "Prosperous Armenia" is involved in the election of Yerevan Council of Elders with the slogan "Let's change" and "Let's start with Yerevan", the slogan of the ANC -"The power belongs to the citizens," ARF- "Yerevan, change Armenia." "Heritage" with its slogan welcomes Yerevan "Hi, Yerevan," and "Rule of Law" assured that they can do more, "We can do more."
