Ecuadorian president to freeze own salary for 2 years

Ecuadorian President Rafael Correa has announced cuts to his earnings and those of his ministers, urging not to consume “unnecessary things,” local media reported on Monday.
He said that he has signed a decree on freezing his salary and that of Vice-President and Cabinet ministers over the next two years to set an example of austerity.
