Ban Ki-moon urges N. Korea to forgo provocations

The UN Secretary-General has urged North Korea to abstain from staging more provocations. His appeal has followed the South Korean authorities’ statement to the effect that it is likely that Pyongyang is preparing for a fourth nuclear test, according to the AFP news agency.
North Korea can no longer challenge the UN Security Council and the international community, the UN Secretary General told reporters in The Hague.
The media reported Monday with reference to sources in the South Korean government that over activity of man power and transport had been detected at the Punggye-ri nuclear test site.
Seoul does not rule out that Pyongyang is preparing for a fourth nuclear test. But the South Korean Defence Ministry later disproved the information.
