According to RA Minister of Economy businessmen don`t leave Armenia.

The Minister of Economy of Armenia Tigran Davtyan said today that businessmen don’t leave Armenia. According to him, any businessman wants to enlarge their business and opens new branches in other countries. 

He says that there are separate cases but there is no general trend. There are 4500 companies with foreign capital in Armenia, and this number keeps growing. “If we have 4500 companies with foreign capital in Armenia, why can’t we have over 200 Armenian companies in the region?” the minister stated. 

He noted that today, companies with Armenian capital are established in Georgia, which is normal. It is bad when companies close down and move to another country, the minister says. 

Dwelling on the statement of the proprietor of Le Café de Paris Company who wants to leave Armenia, the Minister said this is one of the few cases, it is necessary to study the details to find out the causes. 

The Minister of Economy did not clarify who will study and resolve the problem to exclude similar cases in future.
