Russian rapper Timati heads Japanese top song charts

A new song "Not All About The Money" by Russian rapper Timati featuring Timbaland, American record producer, songwriter and rapper, has topped the charts of one of Japan’s main music hit parades, ITunes Japan Dance Chart, and has ranked first in Japan’s most popular USEN rating.
Timati’s English-language music album has been holding the top position among hip hop and rap compositions for a month now.
Yasuki Kawasaki, the head of a department monitoring western pop music in a Japanese music company claims that Timati is a gifted rap performer and that his album is the best evidence of this. The rapper have managed to secure the popularity that was enjoyed by the Russian ex-duet Tatu. The Japanese like Russian performers, since these, they claim, cause an interest, while their compositions generate active discussions, novosti-ru. reports.
