RA government resigns

Today RA President Serzh Sargsyan, assuming office, under Article 55 of Armenia's Constitution, accepted the resignation of the government of the Republic of Armenia, signing the decree. Prime Minister Tigran Sargsyan presented to Serzh sargsyan government's resignation.

Speaking to the present, Prime Minister Tigran Sargsyan thanked for the joint work. Following his speech Serzh Sargsyan too expressed his gratitude.

In accordance with the 4th point of the article 55 of the Constitution the President of the Republic of Armenia accepts the resignation of the Government on the day he assumes the office. After the President of the Republic of Armenia accepts the resignation, the members of the Government continue the fulfillment of their duties till the formation of a new government.
