Armenia of two inaugurations
Analytical
April 9 entered Armenia's modern history as a day of two inaugurations.
Even before reaching the stairs of SCC there are crowds. Opposition activist Vardges Gaspari once again lay down and is crying, what is crying, is even incomprehensible. Policemen are quietly standing around him. Officials just barely are going up the endless stairs of SCC. "Armen when we raised so much?", asks Liska- Governor of Syunik region Suren Khachatryan Governor of Tavush region Armen Hularyan.
In turn comes the elite of Armenia, officials greet each other. Here are the President's brothers Sashik Sargsyan and Levon Sargsyan, too. Soon former Yerevan Mayor Karen Karapetyan also appears, and after him the incumbent Mayor Taron Margaryan. But journalists do not pay attention and approach Karen Karapetian.

- Your name is mentioned as Primier's candidate.
-I do not know, there is no such thing.
-And if you're offered a position in Armenia, will you agree?
- I do not know, no...
About this much ... "Drive Karen" leaves the impression of a little blue ...
They are political enjoyments ...
"You have come almost with the entire team," I ask MP from PAP MP. PAP members were coming and coming, Tsarukyan's daughter-in-law Murad Guloyan, Samvel Balasanyan, Yuvetsi Karo, Belajo's Grish. ... So why did not Tsarukyan come?
They are political enjoyments ... he should do something, or not.
PAP "ideological" wing is missing- Vardan Oskanian, Naira Zohrabyan, Vahe Hovhannisyan, and gives opportunity to Gurgen Arsenyan to enjoy his star time. PAP Mayor candidate Arsenyan quickly passed through the red carpet for President. Journalist surrounded him and as a high representative of the party asked him questions. Although ... "daddy" was already in the hall. Nobody noticed how Robert Kocharyan entered the hall.
Message that will not go unanswered ...
After reading the text of the oath Serzh Sargsyan thanked his voters and those who voted for other candidates. "In this way they expressed their discontent with the problems in the country. They sent a clear message to the authorities: the requirement to work more effectively. Be sure that all the clear messages have been heard."
"Compare Armenia of five years ago with Armenia of today and you will see the difference. Compare the levels of the freedom of speech, press, and association. Compare the past and present levels of maturity of NGOs and the civil society in general. I promise that we will not be contented with the achievements. Five years from now, we will attain a qualitatively different, far more advanced democracy. I shall not accomplish this alone, we will do it together, dear compatriots.
Messages also continued on other fronts: Irresponsible people and those who have never experienced war, may turn the possibility of war into a subject for cynical and sordid profiteering. I am not one of them: I know what it takes to lose a friend or experience the bliss of victory. I fretted over every soldier’s life, every inch of the native land. Therefore, through the vote of confidence vested in me by the people of Armenia, I declare: We do not want war but, at the same time, we are ready to withstand any challenge. I reiterate this for slow learners: any challenge.
Through the electoral campaign we all enjoyed ample opportunities for exposure and introducing our programs. At the same time, each of us was eager to get our ideas down fully and succinctly. Elections do not mark a destination; they signify a new phase. This is the phase for unrelenting and persistent work. The time has come to move from words to work, to reinforce words with work.
The ceremony ends. Members of the government sit on the bus, go to Baghramyan 26, resign, and now as a temporary duty performers join the celebration of the inauguration of the President in "Parvana" restaurant.
Counterstrike?
Parallel to Sargsyan's oath journalists watched the inauguration ceremony of Raffi Hovannisian in Liberty Square. It was showed online how Raffi is dancing, singing, or says inspired discussion. It is said that there were about 12,000 people. But then there was no incident.
All started at the end of Serzh Sargsyan's inauguration, when several activists, in all probability, knowing exactly when the President would be in Baghramyan 26, started to make noise and call the police "not to kill them." Two minutes of nothing turned a story, a fight, the situation escalated.
"This guy was taken away, he would give an answer", Chief of Yerevan Police Nersik Nazarian said. It was activist Eghia Nersisyan.
Then there were rumors that the situation was even more acute, different tensions were created, and Raffi Hovannisian appeared in the title role of one such brawl. Group of environmental activists was arrested...
