Strong earthquake completely destroys three Iranian cities

An earthquake has almost completely destroyed three cities in Iran, IRNA news agency reported. Dozens of people were killed and over 800 injured.
The epicenter of the 6.3 magnitude earthquake was 90 kilometers from the city of Bushehr, near Iran’s nuclear power plant.
“Iran is a country that experiences earthquakes often and the government officials are used to dealing with this kind of calamities. Earthquake happened about 4 pm, a lot of rescue crews dealing with the casualties. I think towards morning most of the works will be done,” Foad Izadi, Professor of political communication at Tehran University told the Voice of Russia.
Iran has told the U.N.'s International Atomic Energy Agency that an earthquake that hit the country on Tuesday did not damage the Bushehr nuclear power plant, the IAEA said.
According to the agency, neither the station nor the houses of its workers suffered. Several aftershocks followed the first tremor. The strongest of them was 5.4 magnitude on the Richter scale.
The city of Kaki with a population of about 10,000 people has suffered the most.
The cities of Khormooj and Kengan have also been destroyed More than 30,000 and 20,000 people live in these two cities. Several villages have been completely destroyed.
Local doctors are treating the injured. About 100 ambulances left to these cities from Teheran.
