Serzh Sargsyan hosts Bucharest Mayor Sorin Mircea Oprescu

he President of the Republic of Armenia Serzh Sargsyan hosted today the Mayor of Bucharest (Romania) Sorin Mircea Oprescu, who had arrived in Armenia to take part in the Inauguration Ceremony of the Armenian President. In the development of the Armenian-Romanian relations and strengthening of the centuries-old friendship between the two nations, the President Serzh Sargsyan considered the role of the capital of Romania Bucharest quite important.

The President of Armenia expressed his gratitude to the authorities of Romania, as well as the Mayor of Bucharest Sorin Mircea Oprescu for the caring and friendly attitude towards the Armenian community.

The Mayor Sorin Mircea Oprescu spoke about the Armenians with praise, saying that living in his country the Armenians and Romanians had always understood each other and as a Mayor, Oprescu was interested in assisting the two nations to strengthen the friendly relations.

He assured that he would not spare any efforts to develop the cooperation between Yerevan and Bucharest, foster the Romanian investments in the economy of the capital of Armenia and implement joint mutually beneficial projects.
