Down with tax havens in the world, Hollande says

French President Francois Hollande unveiled several measures aimed at fighting tax evasion. In particular, banks will have to provide information about all their branches and countries that refuse to cooperate on exchanging information about French citizens’ incomes will be put on the list of ‘tax havens’.

In his address to the public broadcast by all French TV channels the French president declared that tax havens should be eliminated both in Europe and all over the world.

Francois Hollande also hopes for similar measures to be taken on the EU level.
