London Mayor wants to erect Thatcher monument

London Mayor Boris Johnson wants to put up a monument downtown to former prime minister Margaret Thatcher, who died Monday at the age of 87.
The mayor and fellow party member of the "Iron Lady" has already ordered to select an appropriate location, report the British media.
"The mayor believes that Baroness Thatcher deserves to have a monument to her installed in the city center," said a spokesperson for the London city administration.
A number of British politicians and the military have suggested that the monument be erected in Trafalgar Square, near the monument to Admiral Nelson. They justify this by Thatcher’s role in the 1982 war against Argentina over the Falkland Islands.
