European Union is interested in expansion of relations with Armenia.

Armenian Prime Minister Tigran Sargsyan received newly-appointed head of the European Union delegation to Armenia, Ambassador Traian Hristea.
The head of the government congratulated the ambassador on the appointment. "We are interested in rapid development of relations with the European Union. In that regard the year of 2011 was a breakthrough. We managed to exceed the indexes of our national program," noted the PM.
Traian Hristea said the upcoming year will be rich in new achievements and mentioned that the European Union is interested in expansion of relations with Armenia, supporting the reforms implemented in our country, press service of Armenian government informed.
The interlocutors referred to the launch of talks over the deep and comprehensive trade agreement, visa regime facilitation, updating of customs checkpoint and other issues of mutual interest.
