2 different cases concerning Armen Martirosyan are being prepared in Police

The police department is preparing two separate materials for April 9 morning and evening incidents with Armen Martirosyan. The attorney of the political figure Seda Safaryan informed “Pastinfo.am” that she is not yet informed why they are being examined separately.

In the morning of April 9 on intersections of Baghramyan-Demirchyan streets an incident happened between the police officers and Armen Martirosyan concerning striking of the former’s mother and child and another incident happened in the evening between A. Martirosyan and the police officer. According to S.Safaryan, Armen Martirosyan was not outstanding among the people, for that reason Seda Safaryan does not exclude the possibility that the conflict with the police had an aim to weaken the leader of “Hello Yerevan” bloc of Yerevan Council of Elders May 5 elections, to make him vulnerable and divert his attention from the municipal elections.

According to the attorney, they, most probably, with appeal the administrative decision. Administrative proceeding was launched on the ground of Article 182 of RA Code on Administrative Violations: non-compliance with the lawful requirement of the police, army, soldier or police officer.

At the same time Armen Martirosyan’s attorney Seda Safaryan presented an application to the police to reveal and punish the perpetrator of Armen Martirosyan’s beating.
