Gorbachev will not attend Thatcher’s funeral

Former Soviet President Mikhail Gorbachev will not attend the funeral of former UK Prime Minister Margaret Thatcher because of health problems, a spokesperson for the Gorbachev Foundation said on Thursday.

The funeral of Baroness Thatcher, who died on Monday at the age of 87, is scheduled for April 17.
