US police arrested a man who lived in woods for 27 years, accused for more than 1,000 burglaries.
Christopher Knight, 47, known as the North Pond Hermit, was charged with one count of felony burglary and one count of theft, but police suspect he's responsible for more than 1,000 burglaries since living in a campsite in the woods in Rome, Maine.
Knight burglarized local shops and took “anything he could find”, including sliced meat, Parmesan cheese, coffee and camping equipment, according to a manager of a nearby shop in Rome.
