World's longest pearl necklace on display in Japan

A 222-meter pearl necklace which is listed as the world’s longest pearl necklace in the Guinness Book of World Records, is showcased in Osaka, Japan.

The necklace weighs 20kg and consists of 28,000 pieces of 8mm pearls.

Most of the pearls were contributed by local residents and foreign tourists for free, and the project was completed in three months.
The previous record also belongs to Japanese jewelers who created a necklace that measured 187 meters.
