Moscow Mayor Sergei Sobyanin has appointed his ex-First Deputy Vladimir Resin as his adviser working on a voluntary basis, a City Council official told Itar-Tass on Thursday.
"By mayoral decision, Vladimir Resin was appointed to be Sobyanin's adviser to work on a voluntary basis for the duration of the Moscow mayor's term of powers," the City Council official said.
Early on December, Resin was relieved of his duties as First Deputy Mayor of Moscow in view of his transfer to a job in the State Duma lower house of the Russian parliament. Resin stood for election to the State Duma from the United Russia party. He is a member of Regional Group 77 - the City of Moscow.
