Russia will receive 1 million visitors during 2018 FIFA World Cup, Medvedev says

During the 2018 FIFA World Cup that will take place in Russia this country will receive 1 million visitors, Prime Minister Dmitry Medvedev said in Yaroslavl north of Moscow.

He believes that the World Cup that will be held in several cities in Russia in 2018 will give a boost to tourism.

According to the Russian Prime Minister, the popularity of the World Cups is higher than the popularity of the Olympic Games.

They attract more visitors, and we should take advantage of that. The Russian Prime Minister said that it would be good to show foreign visitors the real Russia – the country not only of big cities but also the country of small towns, where there are many monuments of wooden architecture that are known all over the world.
